Pocket-Aberrator

The pocket-aberrator is a small demonstration version of the full-aberrator program. It only simulates star-tests at a 128x128 pixel-screen, most of the standard aberrations can be simulated and there is no calculate button. Why ? It is fast enough to do the calculations on the spot for most modern computers, so simply slide the focus-control and see the diffraction rings changing.

And it does a dynamic simulation of turbulence, you can control both speed and intensity of the turbulence.

The purpose of this small program (228kB exefile, 121Kb zipfile) is not to simulate the most realistic images but it is more usefull as a tool to understand how the aberrations affect the images. You can download it from HERE
