Planet-simulation (update 24/11/2000) The aberrator is capable of showing the effects of aperture-size, obstruction, and aberrations on planetary images. The images below show mars (14” diameter) and jupiter (45” diameter) as seen through a perfect 4”, 6” refractor and a 12 “ refractor with a 20% obstruction. These images are taken from the NASA-websites and were reduced to 10 pixels per arcsecond images. |
